Delhi Government has initiated the program aiming at nurturing young minds and harnessing their potential to explore opportunities.
The Delhi government has initiated an internship program to involve young people in activities related to the environment and forestry. This internship portal was introduced during the Polo Grounds fourth Van Mahotsav event at Delhi University.
Delhi’s Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, inaugurated the online portal and highlighted that this program aims to familiarize college students with the functions of the Forest and Wildlife Department. The platform has a dual purpose, focusing on nurturing young minds and leveraging their potential to explore innovative technologies for managing forests and wildlife.
The minister emphasized that this initiative will direct the enthusiasm of youth towards improving our understanding and conservation of crucial ecosystems. Interested college students can apply for the internship through the website internship.eforest.delhi.gov.in.
The internship opportunity introduced by Delhi government is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in recognized schools, institutions, or universities.
Moreover, interns who are chosen will have the responsibility to create a research paper or a detailed report that highlights their contributions to natural resource management. This document should discuss important topics, tackle relevant issues, and emphasize how their efforts align with the Department’s goals.
Successfully finishing the internship will lead to receiving a “Certificate,” along with an assessment based on their performance. It’s worth mentioning that the internship does not come with any payment or monetary reward.
